This article shows you how to replace the batteries for the RackEye Sensor
2 x Energizer Lithium AA batteries are recommended
Replacing RackEye sensor batteries
- Use the Mobile App to de-activate the RackEye.
(This is to avoid unnecessary event (Alert/Warning) being generated) - Remove the RackEye from the racking leg
- Turn to the back of the sensor and unclip the battery cover
- Remove the batteries from the sensor
- Insert new batteries taking care to put them in the correct orientation. Always use New Batteries. (A-Safe recommend using Energizer ultimate lithium batteries to achieve optimal battery life for this product. Using alkaline batteries may result in unusual behaviour.)
- The RackEye sensor will now flash a boot up sequence
- Replace the battery cover and put the RackEye back on the racking leg.
- Use the Mobile app to reactivate the RackEye.
