How to perform an Inspection by Aisle

Inspection by Aisle is a new feature introduced in the RackEye Mobile App Version 3.4. This gives you the ability to quickly inspect all of your racking legs on an aisle to aisle basis. 

How to start an Aisle Inspection

To begin, you will need to scan the QR code of a racking leg that is either at the start or end of an Aisle. 

You will then see a button to Inspect Aisle in the Leg details page. 

After selecting Inspect Aisle and pressing confirm on the subsequent prompt, you will be returned to the Dashboard and see a yellow banner at the top of the screen. This indicates that an aisle inspection is now in progress. 

Selecting the banner will show you a list of all the legs within the aisle you need to inspect, as well as any legs that have existing damage from a previously performed inspection, indicated by a clock icon to the right of the leg's name. 

Performing an Aisle Inspection

Once you have started the aisle inspection, walk through the aisle while inspecting legs for any damage. If you find a leg that has damage you can perform a full inspection on it by scanning it's QR code and then pressing the Inspection button from its leg details page. The risk level as a result of that inspection will then be shown in the aisle inspection review screen.

Submitting an Aisle Inspection

Once you have reached the end of the aisle, select the yellow banner at the top of the screen to open the review inspection screen. Select submit and then scan the QR code of the leg at the end of the aisle to finish the aisle inspection. This will then automatically submit all the legs in the aisle that you have not performed a full inspection on as No Damage.

Any leg with existing/unrepaired damage from a previous inspection will NOT be submitted as No Damage and be resubmitted in the same state unless you have performed a new inspection on it by scanning it's QR code.

Alternatively, you may also navigate to the Leg details page of the last leg in the aisle, which will have a button to Finish Aisle Inspection. This will take you to the review inspection screen where you can submit the aisle inspection, similar to clicking on the yellow banner. 

Cancelling an Aisle Inspection

You may cancel an aisle inspection at any point be selecting the yellow banner to open the review inspection page and pressing the Cancel Inspection button. 

This will not undo/delete any full inspections you have performed on any of the racking legs while the aisle inspection was in progress.

Other

While an Aisle inspection is progress you will not be able to inspect any legs in a different aisle until the current aisle inspection has been completed or cancelled.
